December goals

OK, to help me in having something to accomplish, here's where I'm going with the month of December. I'd like to accomplish:

Four chapters of my book completed
Bryan's quilt finished
Moved back into my own bedroom
Survive chorus holiday season
Baby gift for Allyson and Taylor
Go one week without veering from diet (right!)
Get rid of Kevin's desk, my desk, sofa and last two bookcases
20 new lenses

November has been a bust!

Well, I was supposed to be writing my novel for the Novel Writing Month deal. Hated my first attempt, finally managed to outline my teleporter story, but haven't actually devoted any time to writing. Not sure if it's the fear of failure thing working, but I just haven't found the process to be as fun as I expected. Something to explore there.

Plus, I haven't done any new Squidoo lenses. Totally missed peanut butter month for my Peanut Butter and Chocolate lens. I've just been a blob of unproductivity for quite some time now. I keep blaming the remodel, but I'm not sure that's it. Or maybe that truly is. Oh well. Can only impact time going forward, so let's get a move on.

Ideas for lenses

I'm working on my list of ideas for new lenses. As usual, I'm probably going to be better at coming up with ideas for lenses than I will in actually executing them. Plus, I'm supposed to be writing a book this month. Hah! I have the outline, but just can't get motivated to sit and write. Too ADD or something, I think. Anyway, if you have an idea for something you'd like to see a lens on, leave a comment. Thanks!

Don't understand the system

Why doesn't the linking thing seem to work sometimes? I'm trying to drive traffic to my Squidoo lens on small cross-stitch patterns and it doesn't seem to be working. Google has indexed the page as a blog and doesn't seem to recognize it otherwise as it doesn't show up in search. At least not regular search. It shows up in blog search. Sigh. All my other ones got picked up right away and are doing OK. Well, except for the bad singing one. It's also not indexed. Sigh again. Don't understand what I did wrong this time.

I Love Squidoo!!

I've totally fallen in love with Squidoo. I have about a thousand ideas for new lenses and I'm never going to have time to get them going. Sigh. But I'm going to try.

Circle up the wagon

OK, I totally want these on my car. But what color would go with my kiwi metallic Element?

Choices are light pink, dark pink, maroon, red, wine berry, baby blue, teal blue, royal blue, olympic blue, lime green, forest green, lilac, muted purple, purple, black, white, brown, orange, rubber ducky yellow, dark yellow. I'm thinking two sets in two complementary colors. So yellows to go with hubby's car?

I'm planning to put them on the windows, not the car itself. I don't want to peel them off in three years and have sun-faded circles on the car. (Although, that might be cool for a long-term look!)
